OCTOBER 28 COMEDIANS:

JANAE BURRIS (Just For Laughs/NBC First Look) has opened for nationally touring comics Michael Che, Roy Wood Jr., Beth Stelling, Josh Blue and Gary Gulman, to name a few. Janae has been featured at Portland’s Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Limestone Comedy Festival in Bloomington IN, Telluride Blues Fest and High Plains Comedy Festival in Denver, as well as headlining at Ha Ha Harvest in Portland and Aspen Laugh Fest. Janae is a 2019 Just For Laughs New Face. She is a “Pro” on the coveted regulars list at Comedy Works in Denver and was the 2016 Comedy Works New Faces Champ. She has showcased at NACA West, Midwest and Central. She is a founding member of Pussy Bros, her stand up comedy girl gang with Christie Buchele and Rachel Weeks, who made their television debut on NBC’s First Look. (Ok, technically her first TV appearance was on Family Feud where she lost her shot at $10, 000 because what they don’t tell you on FF is that the real feud is between you and your own damn family.) Follow Janae on social media @negativenegro– it’s not just a handle, it’s a lifestyle.

BEN KRONBERG has performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live, John Oliver's New York Stand-up Show, Last Call with Carson Daly, Late Night with Seth Meyers, @Midnight, and on his own half-hour special on Comedy Central. His mother is his biggest fan. Comedy Central recently named Ben as one of the “Comics to Watch.” At Denver Comedy Lounge, he produces beloved shows every weekend, featuring local and touring comedians, musicians, and artists.

MIKE MERRILL, since getting his start in Los Angeles (telling jokes to an empty movie theater at the age of 8) has appeared on Stand up Revolution (Comedy Central), Comics Unleashed (CBS), and Hulu's Loco Comedy Jam. He has recorded three one-hour specials, headlined comedy tours in Australia, Singapore and Indonesia, performed for the troops in Dubai and Afghanistan, and he writes for CBS's Funny You Should Ask.

KATE McLACHLAN was the winner of 2018’s Next Best Comic of the Four Corners Comedy Competition, a performer at the 2021 High Plains Comedy Festival, and currently produces the wildly popular Dyketopia at various Denver venues.

LISA LANE, your host, is an overeducated goofball who finds the funny in the balancing act of parenting teenagers, becoming single at age 50, and navigating the chin hairs and wrinkles on her very own face. She is a regular host, feature, and mother figure in the Denver comedy scene and recently hosted for Steve Rannazzisi, Gina Brillon, Steve Gillespie, and the MLB All-Star Game 5K. Lisa is the author of Teenagers Suck and Beyond Mama Bear as well as a voiceover actor. Her real-life misadventures have recently been deemed “grossly adorable” by comedian and podcast host Dan Cummins, which makes Lisa feel both seen and heard. beyondmamabear.com lisalanefilholm.com
